I think my brother is mentally ill. I need more information on his condition.?

I have bipolar disorder and the manic depressive epsoide is so disheartning and sad. I feeel so upset, with depression and you know depression kills. Try letting him learn about religons or finding a purpose of life. It kinda helped me get better and helped with not being sucidal etc.
