Do you think that Sledging is useful trick in Cricket? Sledging make you better at cricket?

If you have a good team with quality cricketers then I don't think you need to resort to stuff like sledging and bantering to win cricket matches. The WI team of the 70's is a clic example of a champion side with character. Unfortunately these days no team can claim to play fair and within the spirit of the game.
