Could a fuel/air bomb be used to put out a fire?

Being the FAE uses surrounding oxygen to do the trick, could detonating a FAE (or fuel/air explosive) at some feet above a fire or even on the ground, be Sufficient enough to actually put out a fire due to the sudden lack of oxygen?
