How do I get used to being alone?

Isolating yourself is never the answer. My school had a middle cl where the kids are not ignorant popular kids or "pricks", they were smart but were not whiny. If your school didn't have this cl then maybe your university will. Also if ur lonely u can easily find a girl friend if ur not a prick like the unpopular kids or an idiot like the popular kids. For starters tell the guy that keeps trying to tell u about theatre that u don't need to learn this stuff from him.
